Medicare Modernization Act - On December 8, 2003, President Bush signed into law the Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, also called the Medicare Modernization Act or MMA.  It set forth a number of major changes to the Medicare program, including creation of the new Medicare Part D drug benefit starting in 2006, creation of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and increased payments to Medicare HMOs under the renamed Medicare Advantage program, in an effort to increase HMO participation in the program.

Medicare Remit Easy Print - software to view and print the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant 835 for professional providers and suppliers. This software, which is available for free to Medicare providers and suppliers, can be used to access and print remittance advice information, including special reports, from the HIPAA 835.
